BridgeTO Youth is a not-for-profit organization that supports youth in low-income communities who face specific socio-economic barriers that impact their chances of graduating from high school and pursuing post-secondary opportunities.

The objective of BridgeTO Youth is to promote education and social integration of low-income and underserved youth across the GTA and Hamilton Regions for youth in Grades 11, 12, and first year of post-secondary education through free tutoring, mentorship, and unique career-related events in a safe and inclusive environment that will help shape their future.

BridgeTO Youth will bridge the gap to success by providing an enriching learning experience outside of the classroom and a comprehensive mentorship program that will guide and support the youth in cognitive skill development to be prepared for their desired career.

In line with our core values, we provide assistance to whoever needs us most, regardless of race, religion, or gender. The majority of the youth we serve come from marginalized communities of immigrant and newcomer families and almost all the youth are visible minorities.

Founder’s Message

With a career in corporate banking, running a not-for-profit organization was never a goal of mine. As someone who grew up in a low-income neighbourhood in Toronto and faced multiple barriers to education, I founded BridgeTO Youth, to support youth who face socio-economic barriers that impact their chances of graduating from high school and pursuing post-secondary opportunities.

BridgeTO Youth was formed simply because I desired to see the vibrant and exceptional youth from the communities I was raised in at the forefront of every industry and conversation. Regardless of where you are from, what hardships you have encountered, I have always seen people for who they could become, opposed to who they currently are.

From the early days of tutoring a few students after school to today, I remain as passionate about this cause as I did the very first time. Whether you are a potential student, family member, or an interested community member that cares about seeing our youth succeed, welcome and thank you for visiting BridgeTO Youth.
